TITLE: Professor, Business Analytics
LOCATION: Kingston
REPORTING TO: Associate Dean, School of Business

DUTIES:
A professor is responsible for the following:
 Developing curriculum in support of an individual teaching assignment and/or program needs.
 Teaching courses in the Program as assigned.
 Providing individual help to students requiring special assistance.
 Being an active member of the program and school team
 Evaluating student progress, academic advising, committee work, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a master’s degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, computer information management, or business information systems. Consideration will also be given to candidates possessing other relevant degrees with a strong statistics or information science background. Minimum of three years of recent experience as a senior analyst or manager in a business analytics role. Formal training in instructional techniques and interculturally competent curriculum design and evidence of student engagement at the post-secondary level is preferred. Ability to teach applied business analytics courses such a statistics, data management, data presentation, project life cycle management, business strategy and applied artificial intelligence and machine learning courses. Computer skills including the ability to code for use in statistical analysis using programming languages like R, Python, etc. Experience using a variety of computer applications to manipulate, analyze, and present data. Knowledge of and ability to use adult education instructional techniques that engage the learner. Candidates must be aware of their own cultural and disciplinary identities and model and encourage non-judgmental approaches to discussing cultural, social, or other types of difference. All candidates must be excellent communicators, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Excellent leadership, mentoring and teaching skills are essential, combined with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success. Demonstrated ability to evaluate students and provide feedback on performance/progress. Excellent English communication skills (written/verbal).

SALARY & TERMS: Professor / Annual Salary Range: $63,971 - $110,897 (Commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with the Academic Collective Agreement)
