Job Description
Bring leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to the Health Informatics program at Confederation College;
• Develop and deliver courses suitable for both classroom and/or distance delivery;
• Engage with students and community partners in order to provide a dynamic learning environment while incorporating a variety of teaching methods to meet various learning styles;
• Actively contribute to and care about student success by evaluating student progress and achievement using a variety of evaluative tools;
• Participate in and contribute to learning resource selection, consultative committees, program and course design/revisions; and
• Contribute to the regular and ongoing development of Confederation College Business programs.

All positions at Confederation College must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

A detailed description of responsibilities per the classification definition of Professor is available in the Academic Collective Agreement ( This position involves up to 36 weeks of assigned contact per academic year, and may be in any of three semesters at the College’s discretion, and may include weekend work.

Job Requirements
Candidates must possess the following:
• A Master’s degree in a business discipline: MBA, MSc Management, Industrial Relations, Leadership, International Business Management; or
• A Master’s degree in a health discipline: Public Health, Health Policy; or
• A Master’s degree in Education; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience. Together with:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience related to Data Analytics and/or quantitative analysis as well as experience in program delivery and the development of curriculum.
Ideally, the preferred candidate will have:
• The ability to maintain and develop community, industry and government contacts;
• A commitment to education equity to teach diverse student populations and work with colleagues or clients from various backgrounds;
• Teaching or training experience at the college, university or corporate level;
• Proven ability to excel in a team environment and a demonstrated commitment to life-long learning; and
• Curriculum and program development experience is desirable, including innovative classroom presentation techniques. Additional experience in some of the following areas would be an asset:
• Alternative delivery strategies; student success strategies; academic advising; adult learning theories; and educational applications of computer technologies.

The successful applicant will be required to submit a criminal background check prior to commencement of employment.
